We are looking for a Senior IBM BAW & FileNet Developer to join a long-term enterprise digital transformation program.

In this role, you will design and build cross-functional IBM BAW components, custom business applications, and integrate them seamlessly with FileNet document workflows. This is a flexible remote/hybrid position based in Portugal, with short monthly trips to other countries in Europe!

Main responsibilities

  • Design and develop generic IBM BAW components (Toolkits, Coaches, data models, and generic REST service calls) for cross-project reusability

  • Build custom IBM BAW applications to manage specific business processes and overlay workflows onto standard corporate products

  • Develop FileNet backend components (classes, plugins, subscriptions, code modules) to link documents with BAW workflows/cases

  • Integrate BAW and FileNet cross-functional solutions with external systems and core corporate repositories

  • Execute unit tests, ensuring non-regression, backward compatibility across process versions, and top-tier code quality

  • Prepare deployment packages and documentation (configuration manuals, user guides), supporting production rollouts

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed enterprise workflows

Requirements

  • Senior experience in designing and developing IBM BAW (Business Automation Workflow / BPM) and IBM FileNet P8 solutions

  • Solid software foundation in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, REST APIs, and WebSphere/cloud architectures

  • Proven hands-on expertise building BAW Toolkits, Coaches, and integration points with document repositories

  • Must reside in Portugal (Remote/Hybrid flexible) and be available to travel to Europe 1 week/month (~4 days)

  • Mandatory fluency in Portuguese and English (French is a strong plus!)
